Association of Municipalities Jablunkovska obtained from the budget of Moravian-Silesian Region, the program Promotion of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Moravian-Silesian Region 2008 grant for the project:
Management Association of Municipalities of microregion Jablunkovska
Implementation period: May 2008 - June 2009
The project aims to launch high-quality professional management performance of Association of Municipalities Jablunkovska (the SOJ) in response to the currently processed SOJ Strategic Plan (prepared under the pilot project Partnership for Prosperity). The task of the new management of the rural microregion SOJ will mainly work in managing the activities of SOJ and fulfilling actions defined in the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan for 2007-2013 is defined in three problem areas to a total of 54 activities. Action plan selected 15 priority activities from them for the period 2008 - 2009. A contractor of management services of SOJ will be selected for the period VI/2008 - V/2009, with the assumption of a further extension of the contract. By delivery of external services will be provided guidance for the implementation of specific activities and implementing the strategic plan of the Action Plan, including seminars on the implementation of the strategic plan for a wide range of participants. To ensure information about the activities of SOJ and its publicity a lot of promotional and information materials will be published, including the appropriate adjusting of web pages SOJ.

The project aims to assess 15-year collaboration of 16 rural municipalities in the microregion Association of Municipalities Jablunkovska (SOJ), presentation of existing cooperation between municipalities and other organizations and developing other joint activities. The project will focus on increasing awareness of citizens, local organizations and entrepreneurs about the activities of SOJ and its contribution to the region, promotion of the community life in communities. In order to fullfil this a presentation of association and municipalities will be printed in the press- paid PR articles about all municipalities and SOJ. A traveling exhibition of SOJ will be prepared, which will be gradually placed in all municipal offices, in the Euroregion Těšín Silesia and then in the upcoming House of the three nations at the border crossing Bukovec / Jasnowice. In the occasion of the 15th SOJ anniversary a presentation will be held which will consist of a conference, an exhibition of each community, showcases of an amateur artistic groups, contests for all primary school children in the region, etc. SOJ management will work on the implementation of the project, among others it will suggest and coordinate joint activities, identify sources of funding and prepare supporting documentation. This project builds on the implemented project, during which management activities were proved.
- Implementation of the project will have relevance and impact for the entire rural microregion. The project is focused on these target groups in the impact of the project:
- Residents of the region through presentations with an exhibition, PR articles and exhibitions wandering the municipalities, including brochures and calendars will gain greater view of the micro-region, at the joint event for the public people from all member municipalities will meet and will have fun taking part in entertaining competitions together.
- Children and youth will get to know better their rural region in which they and their peers from other communities live in the competitions. At the final presentation event of SOJ the best contestants will be awarded and the winning artwork will be presented in the calendar.
- Entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations will be involved primarily during the conference, where they will learn about cooperation in the region and the possibility of involvement in activities undertaken.
- Municipalities-strengthening of the cooperation between municipalities, increased promotion of common interests, increased forces and resources to promote projects which excess the participating communities. Renting a party tent for events organized by the municipalities.
- A new brochures for tourists and visitors about the region will be produced, at the exhibition in the House of the three nations they will receive comprehensive information about the region. A new joint projects aimed at developing of tourism are being defined.
