A unique collection of trees in the Beskydy lung institute park. The health resort was established at the confluence of the Lomna River, which flows 800 metres through the park and is one of its beauties and Ošetnice stream at an altitude of 401 meters. The lung institute has an advantageous position. In a maximum of five kilometres in radius, beautiful mountain peaks are rising up. This wall covered with forests supplies the hospital with fresh mountain air. There is a group of lovely decorative trees to see with extremely grown beech tree with overhanging branches and elm, which is also of overwhelming type, which creates a cascade of branches and a mushroom crown shape. Interesting exotic trees grouped around large meadows offer beautiful vistas and different spectacles in every season. The right side of space outside the main entrance to the hospital is lined mostly with different kinds of colour spruces. Sculptures by Vincent Makovsky and Jan Tříska are situated in the park. They are The Resting Female Statue, The Statue of Two Women, The Statue of Humanity and The Statue of Seated Women. The sanatorium building itself is historically protected object. In the 1990, there were significant interventions in the appearance of the arboretum. Dozens of trees were cut down, new walking paths were created, new benches and shelters were installed. All major botanical species were marked with label. Until a few years ago, the park was closed to the public. Today it is freely available at your own risk.

Rock formation Devil mills
Under Gírova, in the village of Bukovec, there are "Devil mills. This is a group of rocks with full caves today. According to the legend, the bandits were hiding there at the time of Jánošík, in another period the rocks were used by devils, who intended the stone mills to 'grind' disobedient mankind. Witches also regularly flew across and perhaps landed there. Access is possible from the chalet Gírová: go along the unmarked path around the fire place where you enter the forest and follow the path until you get to the rocks. After the tour we follow the path in the same direction (from the chalet) above the rocks until we get to the green-marked path by the ski lift.
Thermal springs
A recent geological survey in the village of Písek found the presence of thermal iodine-bromine water with high content of methane, which may be used for the planned thermal pool and spas in the future in the region. Funds are missing to complete the survey about the character of the thermal waters.
Trojmezí- meeting point of three countries
In the village of Hrčava there is a place where the borders of three countries meet. The Czech republic, Poland, Slovakia. In 1995, there were erected three triangular monoliths from polished granite about 215 cm high. Individual monoliths are bearing the national emblems and names of the countries and each is located on the "home" territory. They are fitted so that the national emblem is in the direction to the point where the borders come together. There are historical documents, newspapers and coins stored in the cylindrical holes in the stands of the monoliths. A lime tree of friendship was planted at Hrčava three countries meeting point in 1990 to confirm the friendship of people of three neighbouring states. The lime tree was planted on the occasion of Earth Day by Czech, Polish and Slovak conservationists in Hrčava, which is a traditional meeting place of conservationists from the border areas of those states. A wooden rustic shelter for tourists is installed nearby. Directly at Trojmezí there is a border crossing on a turistic path between Poland and the Czech Republic.
