Cycling routes with special markings

The area of the Beskydy mountains near Jablunkov has a number of specially marked circular cycling routes or sections of long-distance cycling routes. Each of the routes has its own logo and is marked in the usual way along the route.

REGIOTOUR circular cycling route

The Těšín Silesia Euroregion has a network of marked cycling routes linking up with the region's "backbone" route, consisting of routes no. 56 and no.24C (in Poland), which stretches for a total of 220 km. The backbone route runs through the Jablunkov area for 30 km from Bukovec to Oldřichovice.

TROJMEZÍ Radegast Cyklotrack (Radegast 3-border cycling route)

This circular route is fully linked up to the rest of the routes in the network. It goes to the meeting point of the borders of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia (known as "Trojmezí") and has a total length of 74 km. The route is dotted with restaurants serving Radegast beer, a welcome refreshment for thirsty cyclists. More information at: www.cyklotrasy.radegast.cz

Metalworking Industry Trail

This educational cycling route links together a number of places connected with the early history of metalworking in the region. The sites include the forerunners of today's Třinec Ironworks such as lime kilns, former iron ore seams, charcoal kilns etc. The route includes information boards giving details on how these facilities worked.

The main cycling route is at the centre of a corridor linking places of natural and historical interest. The route through the Jablunkov area is the same as route no.56 (Regiotour).
